Als Gitarrist, Songwriter und Produzent hat Jonas Winter zuvor ausverkaufte Touren gespielt, mehrere Alben in die Charts gebracht und Songs für andere Künstler produziert, die millionenfach gestreamt wurden. Mit seinem Solo-Projekt schlägt er nun eine neue musikalische Richtung ein: Indie Rock, teils auf Englisch, klanglich weit entfernt von seinen bisherigen Projekten.

Hinter diesem Wandel steckt ein Einschnitt, der alles hätte beenden können: Während seines Gitarrenstudiums in Mailand verlor Jonas über Nacht die Kontrolle über seine rechte Hand, fokale Dystonie. Über mehrere Jahre kämpfte er sich zurück, lernte komplett als Linkshänder neu spielen, bis er schließlich wieder beidhändig spielen konnte.

Diese Erfahrung prägt seine Musik bis heute: persönliche Songs, die Themen verarbeiten, die ihm fast selbst das Genick gebrochen hätten, und die Mut machen sollen, auch am tiefsten Punkt noch nach Auswegen zu suchen.

As a guitarist, songwriter and producer, Jonas Winter previously played sold-out tours, landed multiple albums in the charts, and produced songs for other artists that have been streamed millions of times. With his solo project, he's now taking a new musical direction: indie rock, partly in English, and sonically a world away from his previous work.

Behind that shift is a break that could have ended everything: during his guitar studies in Milan, Jonas lost control of his right hand overnight to focal dystonia. Over several years, he fought his way back, retraining himself completely as a left-handed player until he could finally play with both hands again.

That experience still shapes his music today: personal songs that work through things that nearly broke him, written to give courage to keep looking for a way out, even at the lowest point.
